TELESALES ENTERING THE B2B MARKET

SLM Connects formed in 2008, in Manchester, UK is a telemarketing agency that offers services such as; lead generation, Business 2 Business (B2B) telemarketing and proactive account management. The company also provides telesales services for retail and network partners like, EE- connecting approximately 100,000 consumers per year.

Recently, the SLM Connect enterprise set aside a whooping £1 million to enter the B2B market. The company decided to invest £1 million in a new Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) as it wishes to enter the B2B market and protect its future.

SLM Connect’s technical consultant Abdul Alim mentioned-

The move will provide some stability and not leave it at the mercy of networks’ decisions surrounding consumer

He then added,

We are putting aside a million pounds to really drive the B2B side of SLM Mobile. We don’t have a choice because if the consumer market takes a nose dive we don’t have a business

About 6 months ago, the firm partnered with Daisy in order to launch their own Vodafone-run MVNO called “SLM Mobile” which has launched a B2B subscription. The company’s next action plan is to target roughly 20,000 connections within the next year.

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are perfect to target since they have a simpler hierarchy that works better to when it comes to being accepted by firms. Therefore, SLM is focusing on SMEs who require 50 or less connections to begin with. The offer will include no credit checks and a 12 month term period. Later this year, as and when the telecom distributors begin the sale of handsets, SLM plans to offer handsets through Plan.com.

Telesales entering the B2B market is on the rise.
